The Vola Guitars OZ 7 QGM J1 in Vintage White Gloss is a modern extended-range machine — precision-built in Japan and designed in collaboration with Quentin Godet (Kadinja / Ten56). Built for clarity under gain and total control across seven strings, this model blends contemporary aggression with timeless design.
The Vintage White gloss finish keeps it clean and refined, while the alder body and one-piece roasted maple neck provide snap, balance, and stability. The 24 stainless steel frets and 16” radius fingerboard make fast runs and low tunings feel effortless, and the Modern C profile (20mm at 1F / 21mm at 12F) sits comfortably without feeling bulky — even with the 48mm Graph Tech TusQ nut.
Loaded with the Vola Fire Ice pickup set in an HSS configuration, the OZ 7 QGM J1 offers far more than standard switching. Alongside the 5-way selector, you get a 3-way mini toggle for Series (full humbucker) / Coil Split / Parallel, plus a dedicated neck pickup-on button for expanded tonal combinations. From tight, percussive metal rhythms to articulate cleans and fusion leads, it covers serious ground.
Premium hardware includes a Gotoh NS510TS-FE7 tremolo, Gotoh locking tuners, nickel hardware, and D’Addario XTE 10–59 strings. Handmade in Japan and including a Vola Custom Series gig bag, this is a precision-built 7-string designed for players who demand versatility without sacrificing feel.
