The Suhr Classic S is a modern take on the iconic S-style platform, combining vintage inspiration with Suhr’s renowned boutique precision. This custom-built example stands out with its deep Dark Forest Green satin finish—an understated yet striking color that feels smooth and fast in the hands while giving the guitar a refined, modern look.
The 2-piece alder body provides the balanced resonance and articulation that make classic S-style guitars so versatile. Paired with a roasted maple neck carved to Suhr’s comfortable Even C Medium profile (.840–.920), the guitar feels instantly familiar while offering exceptional stability and responsiveness.
An ebony fingerboard with extra rolled edges, a 9"–12" compound radius, and heavy stainless steel frets delivers effortless playability across the entire neck—perfect for smooth bends, articulate rhythm work, and expressive lead playing.
Tonally, V60LP single-coil pickups in the neck and middle deliver warm vintage chime and glassy clarity, while the SSH Plus bridge humbucker adds punch and modern output when needed. Combined with a 5-way blade switch and Suhr’s SSCII silent single-coil system, you get authentic single-coil tone without the traditional noise.
A Suhr 2-post tremolo with steel block, Tusq nut, and Suhr locking tuners round out the hardware, providing excellent tuning stability and smooth performance.
