The Suhr Andre Nieri Signature Modern in Satin Black leans into a stripped-back, refined aesthetic, but that’s exactly what makes it stand out. The satin black top has a soft matte look that keeps things classy, while the natural mahogany back adds organic warmth and contrast. The scraped maple binding gives a subtle frame to the top, and the gold hardware pulls everything together with just enough flash. It has a minimalist, high-performance aesthetic where nothing feels overdone, precisely dialed for elite performance and playability.
In hand, it’s exactly what you expect from Suhr. The roasted maple neck and ebony fretboard feels smooth and familiar, with precise fretwork and a 16”radius for effortless bends and faster runs. The Suhr SSV and SSH Plus pickup pairing covers everything from warm, articulate cleans and classic humbucker textures, to aggressive lead tones, making it equally at home in the studio or on stage. In position 3 of the 5-way blade switch, you gain access to both humbuckers split for glassy, single-coil goodness. The tone control is more focused than a traditional roll-off, only in effect when on the neck and bridge positions.
