PRS Custom 24-08 Sprayer's Choice Wood Library | British Racing Green Metallic

The PRS Custom 24-08 Wood Library is the kind of build that shows exactly why the Wood Library program exists. Select PRS dealers are given access to premium and exotic woods, upgraded appointments, and combinations you simply won’t find in the standard Core lineup. It sits in that sweet spot between regular production and Private Stock, allowing already exceptional PRS models to become something considerably more unique.

The real star here is the one-piece Figured Maple neck. Instead of the traditional Mahogany neck found on a Custom 24-08, PRS selected a seriously curly piece of maple with tight, dramatic figuring running the entire length. Left natural against the Mahogany back, it absolutely jumps out when you turn the guitar over. Pair that with a Ziricote fretboard and matching headstock veneer, and the neck package alone makes this an exceptionally special Wood Library build.

Then there’s the Sprayer’s Choice finish. These finishes give PRS’s finish team creative freedom to step outside the normal colour catalogue and create something unique and this one is gorgeous. A deep metallic green covers the Flame Maple top, appearing nearly black in the shadows before exploding into brilliant emerald as the light catches the carve. The ultra-fine metallic gives it incredible depth and movement, while the natural Mahogany back and figured Maple neck provide a beautiful contrast against the dark, dramatic face.

Underneath it all is the incredibly versatile Custom 24-08 platform, equipped here with DMO pickups, a Gen III tremolo, and dual mini-toggle EQ switches. Smoked Black hardware ties perfectly into the darker side of the finish, while the maple neck adds its own snap and immediacy to the classic Mahogany-bodied recipe. Between the Wood Library appointments, exotic Ziricote, exceptional curly Maple neck, and a Sprayer’s Choice finish that completely changes character under the light, this is a Custom 24-08 you will not see twice.
