The PRS CE 24 Special Sprayer’s Choice takes the proven PRS bolt-on platform and expands it with a hum/single/hum pickup layout built for players who need serious versatility. This example is a Sprayer’s Choice, meaning the PRS finish artist was given complete creative freedom to create something outside the standard catalog. These guitars stand apart because they are guided by the painter’s own vision rather than a repeatable production colour.
The finish on this one is unlike anything we have seen before. At first glance, it hits with an electric blue pearl presence, but look closer and the crackle pattern begins to reveal itself through texture rather than contrast. Instead of using a second colour to force the effect, PRS created a same-tone crackle that feels bold yet subtle at the same time. As light moves across the body, a colour shift emerges from blue into purple. It is artistic, modern, and exceptionally well executed. The satin black neck completes the look and feels outstanding in hand.
With a maple top over mahogany, a bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and PRS 85/15 plus NS-01 pickups, this CE 24 Special delivers snap, clarity, and impressive range. Expect strong humbucker authority, articulate single-coil style sparkle, and excellent note separation across all five positions. The Pattern Thin carve, satin neck finish, PRS tremolo, and locking tuners make it a fast, dependable player’s guitar that looks every bit as special as it sounds.
