The Powers Electric A-Type Select Maple takes everything that makes the A-Type platform so compelling and elevates it with an unmistakably high-end feel. Inspired by vintage American automotive styling and Southern California surf culture, the design feels sleek, organic, and completely original without trying too hard.
This is a true 1 of 1; no other Powers Electric A-Type exists like it. What makes this one special is the Select Maple custom treatment, centered around the stunning solid flamed maple top. The figuring is absolutely unreal and gives the guitar a richness and depth that immediately separates it from a standard A-Type. Paired with the warm one-off Violin Burst finish, it has an incredibly refined look that feels both modern and timeless.
The trussed hollowbody construction keeps the guitar lightweight and resonant, while the quilt maple top adds extra snap, articulation, and immediacy to every note. The PF42 pickups sound open and expressive with incredible clarity and note separation, retaining that airy hollowbody character while still staying focused under gain. Paired with the CamTail bridge, the response feels incredibly direct and resonant, with a lively attack that makes the guitar feel effortless in your hands.
