The Novo Serus J Custom in Purple Stranger Burst blends vintage inspired offset design with Novo’s unmistakably modern Nashville approach. From the tempered woods to the hardware choices, everything about this build feels intentional and player focused. It captures the spirit of old school American guitars while delivering the refinement, feel, and personality that has made Novo one of the most respected boutique builders in the game.
Purple Stranger Burst gives this Serus J a bold, unmistakable presence that feels equal parts vintage and custom shop. Paired with the matching headstock, black P90 covers, black 3-ply pickguard, and black witch hat knobs, the aesthetic is sleek, cohesive, and effortlessly cool. The extra light distress treatment keeps the guitar feeling comfortably broken in while allowing the finish and burst to remain the star of the show.
The tempered pine body gives the guitar a lively, resonant character with plenty of openness and snap, while the tempered maple neck and East Indian rosewood fingerboard add warmth, balance, and a smooth playing feel. The Fralin P90s deliver rich cleans, punchy mids, and the unmistakable growl that makes a great P90 guitar so addictive.
