Mayones Regius Core 7 Baritone 26.5 | Purple Iris (Custom Finish)

This is what a fully custom Mayones should look like.

The centerpiece of this Regius Core 7 is an absolutely outrageous 5A Curly Poplar top, finished in Purple Iris. The figuring is incredibly deep and three dimensional, with the Purple Iris finish moving from vivid magenta and electric purple into near-black around the perimeter. The combination of the 5A figuring and the intensity of the finish is absolutely insane in person. This is easily one of the most striking Mayones tops we've had through the shop.

The rest of the build is every bit as serious. The 26.5" scale gives the seven-string excellent tension and definition, while the 11-ply Maple, Maple and Wenge neck, ebony board, stainless steel frets and 16" radius make for an exceptionally solid, modern platform. The Antique Black swamp ash body and neck provide a killer contrast to the explosive top, with Black Pearloid binding running across the body, fretboard and headstock.

A set of Velvetrone Ironside and Solium humbuckers provides five distinct switching combinations, including inner and outer coil pairings. Brushed nickel covers with gold screws tie into the black and gold hardware, right down to the Hipshot fixed bridge and GripLock tuners.

This is Mayones at its best: exotic materials, obsessive construction and a fully custom spec built around a top and finish that absolutely dominate the guitar.
