Mayones Duvell Elite 7 Baritone 26.5 | Natural Fade Graphite Burst Out (Custom Finish)

This is not a production colour, and it is not a standard Duvell Elite.

This fully custom build centres around an incredible 4A flamed maple top and a one-off Natural Fade Graphite Burst Out finish that is almost impossible to describe properly. It lands somewhere between a swirl and a splatter, with layers of graphite, charcoal, bronze, silver and black moving organically across the top. What makes it even more impressive is that the finish doesn't hide the maple beneath it. The flame and natural character of the wood remain visible through the chaos, giving the entire top a depth and texture that changes dramatically depending on the light. Finished with an exposed natural edge, it is easily one of the most unique Duvells we've had through the shop.

The Duvell itself was designed around the idea of a modern guitar stripped down to everything that matters: exceptional ergonomics, effortless upper-fret access, stability and precision. The compact body and deep cutaways make it exceptionally comfortable, while the extended 26.5" scale is particularly well suited to a seven-string, adding tension, clarity and definition to the low B while retaining a familiar feel across the rest of the instrument. Here, a mahogany body is paired with a five-piece wenge and purpleheart neck and ebony fingerboard, creating a seriously premium foundation beneath the wild aesthetics.

Every appointment was chosen specifically for this build. Black and gold hardware pulls colours directly from the top, while the brushed nickel covers on the Velvetrone Ironside and Solium humbuckers add another metallic texture without overpowering the finish. A Hipshot fixed bridge and GripLock tuners keep everything solid and precise, while the deceptively simple Volume and five-way layout provides full humbucking sounds alongside inner- and outer-coil combinations. Stainless steel frets, blue Luminlay side dots and double-offset white markers round out the playing experience.

Turn it over and the custom work continues. The natural mahogany back puts the wood itself on display, while the wenge and purpleheart neck runs straight through the visual centreline, with those vivid purple laminates providing an unexpected hit of colour. This is what makes a fully custom Mayones so special: underneath an absolutely insane finish is a genuinely world-class modern instrument, built from exceptional materials and configured down to the smallest detail.
