Mayones Aquila Elite V24 S 6 | Ultraviolet Blue Burst Custom Color

The Mayones Aquila Elite is a modern super Strat taken to an entirely different level. Sleek, aggressive and incredibly refined, it has that unmistakable Mayones precision while still feeling organic and substantial in your hands. This particular build is especially striking, pairing a Swamp Ash body with a stunning 4A Quilted Maple top and a completely custom finish.

And that color deserves some attention. This is not a standard Mayones finish with a familiar name attached to it. It is listed on the factory spec sheet simply as Transparent Custom Color, and it is absolutely unreal in person. The centre explodes with rich violet and purple before transitioning into electric blue and finally an almost black outer edge. The matching Quilted Maple headstock carries the same custom finish through the entire instrument.

The one piece Wenge neck might be one of our favourite parts of the build. Visually, the dark open grain looks incredible against the natural Swamp Ash back, but it feels even better than it looks. Wenge has a naturally dry, smooth, almost raw feel under the hand that makes the neck incredibly fast without feeling slick or overly finished. Pair that with an Ebony fretboard, 12 inch radius, stainless steel frets and a 25.4 inch scale and you get a super Strat that feels immediate, precise and ridiculously comfortable.

Mayones finished the Aquila with a Velvetrone Ironside and Solium humbucker set with brushed nickel covers, a five way selector, Gotoh S10 locking tuners and a Gotoh S10 tremolo with brass saddles. It is an exceptionally versatile instrument, but the real story here is the build itself. The wild custom color, outrageous 4A quilt, natural Swamp Ash back and exposed Wenge neck come together beautifully. This is exactly the kind of Aquila that reminds you why Mayones sits at the very top of the modern guitar world.
