The Gretsch G6136T-DCHFL-LTD16 “The Falcon” is not your standard Falcon — this is a rare 2016 Limited Edition finished in a breathtaking Dark Cherry flame maple stain with matching headcap. Built in small numbers and inspired by the iconic ’59 Falcon, this version elevates the platform with dramatic tiger flame figuring on both the top and back, wrapped in unmistakable gold sparkle binding.
At 17” wide, the laminated flame maple hollow body delivers that huge, open Gretsch presence — articulate, airy, and authoritative. A pair of TV Jones® TV Classic pickups provide the chime, snap, and punch Falcon players expect, while “Squeezebox” paper-in-oil capacitors smooth out the top end for warm, vintage-voiced tone when you roll back. The control layout includes individual pickup volumes, master volume, and Gretsch’s classic three-way tone switch for fast, usable tonal shifts on stage.
Visually, this Falcon is pure statement: gold hardware throughout, Grover Imperial tuners, jeweled G-Arrow knobs, pearloid thumbnail inlays on a sleek ebony fingerboard, and a Gold Plexi pickguard with the Falcon graphic. The String-Thru Bigsby® B6GP adds both tuning stability and that expressive shimmer that defines classic Gretsch vibrato work.
