Gavilan Guitars Miramonte Levi Perry Masterbuilt | Aged Cadillac Green

Gavilan may be a new name, but the man behind it is anything but. Founded by former Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Levi Perry, Gavilan represents the next chapter for a builder who spent more than a decade at Fender, rising from Relic artisan to the coveted Master Builder bench. Along the way, Perry contributed to landmark projects including the George Harrison “Rocky” Stratocaster, Phil Lynott Precision Bass and Game of Thrones Collection, while building instruments for artists including Mk.gee, Matty Healy, Buddy Guy, Taylor York and Adrian Young.

The Miramonte is Perry’s original design, handcrafted in New Mexico and bringing that Custom Shop pedigree into something entirely his own. This Masterbuilt example features an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and a pair of Alnico P-90s, paired with a Descendant tremolo and Tuffset bridge. The medium C neck, 12" radius and medium jumbo frets deliver a familiar, comfortable playing experience, while the distinctive offset design gives the Miramonte an identity all its own.

And this Aged Cadillac Green finish is something special. A rich metallic green shifts beautifully between olive and deep forest tones depending on the light, complemented by a pearloid pickguard and matching headstock. Perry's expertly executed light relic work reveals subtle checking, tasteful edge wear and a beautifully worn arm contour, with just the right amount of vintage character. It's a stunning example of the craftsmanship that made him a Fender Custom Shop Master Builder, now expressed through a design that's entirely his own.
