This thing has a serious identity crisis. And I absolutely love it.
One minute it's a deep, moody purple. Move a little and suddenly it's electric magenta. Catch it from another angle and there's this wild flash of green and gold that seems to come out of nowhere. The Skyline Colorshift finish is absolutely ridiculous, in the best possible way. And putting it on that classic SG-inspired double cutaway body? Brilliant. It's got all the attitude of a vintage rock machine, except this one can't decide what color it wants to be. Honestly, neither can I.
What makes it even cooler is the Nitro Light Relic finish. There's beautiful checking running across the body, with subtle wear that gives it the character of a guitar that's spent decades being played. And the colorshift isn't just on the front. It wraps around the back, sides, and neck, creating completely different looks depending on how the light catches it. The black five-ply pickguard, cream Kluson tuner buttons, and classic reflector knobs keep the whole thing rooted in that unmistakable vintage aesthetic.
Underneath all that madness, it's Genuine Mahogany from top to back, including the neck, paired with a gorgeous Macassar Ebony fingerboard and Ebony headstock. The Classic Medium C neck carve, 12" radius, and 24.75" scale deliver that familiar, comfortable feel, while the FBGC V.O. Humbuckers bring vintage-inspired warmth, punch, and plenty of attitude. CTS 500K pots and NOS Soviet-Era capacitors round out an electronics package that's every bit as thoughtfully chosen as the woods.
Frank Brothers noted this one "Too Fast & Too Furious." I reckon they've nailed it. It's loud without making a sound, beautifully worn without looking tired, and completely impossible to capture in a single photograph.
One of the wildest finishes we've seen on an SG-style guitar. And trust me, the photos only tell half the story.
