The Frank Brothers Radar Deluxe in Silver Fox takes its inspiration less from traditional guitar finishes and more from the natural world. The finish combines deep charcoal tones with silver-grey grain highlights, creating an appearance reminiscent of weathered wood or the coat of a silver fox itself. Rather than relying on metallic sparkle or flashy bursts, Silver Fox highlights the natural texture of the mahogany beneath, giving the guitar a sophisticated, organic character that feels both modern and timeless.
In hand, it delivers a modern boutique take on an SG feel. There is a natural midrange push and warmth, but it stays clear and responsive as you dig in or bring up the gain. It does not fight you or feel overbuilt, it just responds exactly how you want it to.
