Finished in Avalanche with a brushed silver anodized pickguard, this one has a clean, modern aesthetic that stands out without trying too hard. The quartersawn maple neck feels incredibly solid in the hand, while the Modern "D" profile, rolled fingerboard edges, and satin finish make it one of the most comfortable necks Fender has ever produced. Tonally, the new Ultra II Noiseless Vintage pickups deliver all the sparkle, snap, and quack you'd expect from a Strat, just without the 60 cycle hum. Add in the S-1 switching for neck and bridge combinations, locking tuners, and the silky smooth two point tremolo, and you've got an instrument that's equally at home on stage, in the studio, or anywhere in between.
