The Dingwall D-Roc Custom Shop is a wild piece of functional art. Handcrafted in Canada, every Custom Shop Dingwall is built to uncompromising standards, but this one pushes far beyond convention. The custom finish feels ripped straight from an '80s synthwave dream: cool Pastel Blue wraps around a glowing pink-to-orange fade that recalls Miami sunsets, neon lights, and retro-futuristic artwork. It's a finish that's impossible to ignore, yet stays clean and precise in its execution. We've seen thousands of instruments over the years, and we've never seen anything quite like this.
Beneath that unforgettable finish is an instrument engineered for players who refuse to compromise. An African Mahogany body provides warmth, punch, and authority, while the 5-piece maple neck and maple fingerboard deliver lightning-fast response and exceptional stability. Ghost Block inlays, Blue Luminlay side markers, a matching beveled headstock, and a maple pickguard complete a build that feels every bit as custom as it looks.
Like every Dingwall, the D-Roc is built around Sheldon Dingwall's revolutionary 34"-37" multi-scale design, giving each string its ideal scale length for tighter lows, clearer articulation, and remarkably balanced tension across all five strings. At just 8 lbs 11 oz, it's surprisingly lightweight without sacrificing the massive, piano-like low end Dingwall has become famous for.
Three Dingwall FDV pickups with powerful neodymium magnets feed the D-Roc rotary electronics, moving from vintage-inspired punch to aggressive modern grind with effortless clarity. Paired with the Dingwall Minimalist bridge, Hipshot Ultralite tuners, and premium hardware throughout, every note feels immediate, focused, and incredibly alive.
