The PRS McCarty 594 Hollowbody II Sprayer’s Choice is a true one of one finish from the PRS factory. Sprayer’s Choice means the PRS finish artist was given full creative freedom to create something outside the standard catalog, resulting in a guitar that cannot simply be duplicated by selecting a normal color option. This example wears an exceptional Purple Metallic Colorshift Sparkle finish that shifts between deep purple and lighter purple/pink/magenta tones depending on the angle of the light. The sparkle adds movement and depth, making it one of those finishes that changes constantly in person.
Beyond the finish, the McCarty 594 Hollowbody II blends vintage inspired design with the airy response of a fully hollow construction. With maple top and back, a mahogany middle, and a light 5 lb 8 oz weight, it offers a lively acoustic character before it is even plugged in. The Pattern Vintage neck carve gives it a substantial and comfortable feel, while the 24.594 scale length, rosewood fretboard with faux bone binding, bird inlays, and high gloss nitro finish complete the premium package.
Loaded with McCarty III pickups, this model delivers warm, clear humbucker tones with excellent articulation and note separation. The fully hollow body adds extra resonance and woodiness, giving chords a rich bloom and single notes a smooth, open response. With two volume controls, two push pull tone controls, and a 3 way toggle, it covers everything from full vintage style drive tones to sweet, nuanced single coil sounds.
