The Fender American Ultra Luxe Vintage ’60s Telecaster Custom takes one of Fender’s most iconic designs and gives it the full modern flagship treatment. Finished in Lake Placid Blue over an alder body with cream binding, the Heirloom nitrocellulose lacquer is lightly aged with checking and wear that gives the guitar genuine vintage character without going overboard. Paired with the mint green pickguard, rosewood fingerboard and clay dots, it absolutely nails the look of a great early ’60s Custom Tele.
Underneath the vintage aesthetic is an unapologetically modern player’s guitar. The quartersawn maple neck features Fender’s Modern D profile, Ultra rolled edges and a 10" to 14" compound radius, while 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets make bends and fast playing effortless. Luminlay side dots, locking tuners and the six saddle bridge with chromed brass saddles push the playability and reliability well beyond a traditional vintage Tele.
A pair of Pure Vintage ’63 Telecaster pickups delivers the snap, bite and clarity you want from a great Tele, while the hidden S1 switch adds a series wiring option for a bigger, thicker voice when needed. It looks and feels like a beautifully aged ’60s Tele, but everything underneath has been engineered for the modern player. Vintage Fender character with Ultra Luxe playability and appointments.
