The Mayones Cali is one of the coolest instruments on the planet. A compact, travel ready bass that still delivers the unmistakable Mayones feel, tone, and craftsmanship. Half the size but absolutely full scale in attitude, the Cali takes the same boutique philosophy as the Caledonius line and distills it into something effortless to grab, inspiring to play, and shockingly versatile.
This one features a stunning Flamed Limba top over Swamp Ash, paired with an incredible 11 ply Exotic 1 neck made from wenge, mahogany, purpleheart, and maple. A smooth Pau Ferro fretboard, 16" radius, 24 Ferd Wagner nickel silver frets, and neck through construction keep everything fast, stable, and incredibly connected. The transparent custom matte finish across the top and matching headstock contrasts beautifully with the natural matte back and neck, letting the unique combination of woods do all the talking.
What really sets the Cali apart is its built in flexibility. The Velvetrone Noble 5 bridge pickup and 3 band CC preampgive you plenty of control over the core bass tone, while the integrated M Headphones system adds dedicated headphone and AUX connections. Plug in your phone, grab your headphones, and you’ve got a complete practice rig anywhere. Studio, couch, hotel, backstage, wherever. No extra gear, no setup, no excuses.
Handbuilt in Gdańsk with the obsessive attention to detail Mayones is known for, the Cali remains one of the brand’s most unique creations. Compact, expressive, beautifully made, and genuinely addictive to play. This is the travel bass that doesn’t feel like a compromise. It feels like a Mayones.
