When Tom Anderson introduced the Drop Top in 1990, it redefined what an “S” style guitar could be. Before then, no one had ever taken a maple top and contoured it for a more comfortable playing experience. But beyond just ergonomics, this design also enhances the guitar’s resonance, with its 3/16-inch maple top adding depth and richness to the tone.
This particular Drop Top is a visual masterpiece, featuring an exquisite quilted maple top with wide, tubular figuring that is very three-dimensional. The way the quilted maple interacts with light gives it a dynamic, rolling effect—almost as if the wood itself is moving. Finished in Natural Bora Burst, the guitar radiates a stunning oceanic vibe.
The guitar has a crisp, white back that perfectly complements the top. The attention to detail doesn’t stop there—one of its most striking features is the matching aqua logo on the white headstock, adding just the right splash of color to complete the look.
Of course, beauty is only part of the story. This Drop Top offers effortless playability, impeccable craftsmanship, and a rich, versatile tone that makes it a true performer. But let’s be real—before you even plug it in, this guitar will steal the spotlight with its jaw-dropping looks.
