With 24 stainless steel jumbo frets, a fast roasted maple neck, and Suhr’s boutique-level build quality, this Modern feels dialed-in the second it hits your hands. At just 7 lbs 2 oz, it’s also exceptionally comfortable and perfectly balanced.
What truly sets this one apart is the Prism finish. Suhr’s wild chroma-shift color moves from green to blue, purple and pink depending on the angle and light, with the matching Prism headstock completing the look. The white Aldrich humbuckers provide a killer contrast against the shifting finish and give this particular build an especially striking appearance.
A pair of Suhr Aldrich humbuckers deliver tight lows, articulate mids, and plenty of aggressive punch, while the push-push coil split opens up crisp single-coil textures when you need them. The recessed Suhr 2-post tremolo offers smooth operation and excellent stability, making this a seriously versatile setup for everything from modern rock and metal to fusion, cleans and session work.
The roasted maple Modern Elliptical .800 to .850 neck is paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, 14" radius and 24 stainless steel jumbo frets for a fast, effortless feel across the entire neck. Combined with the sleek rear-routed 2-piece alder body, satin neck finish and exceptional upper-fret access, this Modern delivers everything you’d want from a top-tier boutique super strat while looking unlike just about anything else in the room.
