The James Tyler Studio Elite HDX has always embodied that unmistakable California boutique hot rod feel — ultra refined, endlessly versatile, and built for players who want a modern instrument with serious personality. You rarely see Tyler lean this heavily into exotic figured woods, and paired with the Transparent Teal Burst, it gives the guitar a far more dramatic and organic look than the typical Studio Elite. Tonally, this guitar covers an incredible amount of ground. The JTS single coils deliver the glassy snap and articulation Tyler players chase, while the Hot Retro humbucker adds thickness, punch, and effortless lead tones without sacrificing clarity.
