The Friedman BE-OD Deluxe is a dual-channel overdrive pedal that captures the legendary tone of the Friedman BE-100 amplifier in a compact pedal format. Designed by Dave Friedman, it delivers the same aggressive British-style gain and tight response that has made the BE-100 a favorite among world-class players.
Channel 1 is identical to the original BE-OD pedal, delivering rich harmonics and powerful amp-like saturation. Channel 2 is voiced with slightly lower gain, making it perfect for rhythm tones while Channel 1 can easily be set up for higher-gain lead work. Having two fully independent channels allows you to dial in both sounds and switch between them instantly.
Each channel features detailed tone-shaping controls including Volume, Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence, along with a three-position Tight switch to fine-tune the low-end response. From mild overdrive to full-on high-gain saturation, the BE-OD Deluxe delivers authentic tube-amp feel and dynamic response.
This example is in excellent condition with minor scuffs from normal use and functions exactly as it should. The original box and power supply are not included.
