Introducing the Browne Amplification The Protein V2 Dual Overdrive, a versatile 2-in-1 pedal designed in collaboration with guitarist/producer Adam Sniegowski and David Brown. Born from years of experience with inconsistent backline amps, the Protein V2 was created to provide consistent, dynamic tones no matter what gear you’re plugging into. The V2 improves on its predecessors with side-mounted jacks and a dual internal switch for split mode, offering even more versatility.
Blue Side: Inspired by the iconic overdrive used by John Mayer on his Continuum album, this side has been fine-tuned to offer greater output, improved tone control, and the perfect balance of smoothness and punch without losing its classic vibe.
Green Side: Inspired by the "Nashville" overdrive, the Green side offers a smoother, more versatile response with less gain, more mids, and a refined low end that cuts through without getting muddy. This side is perfect for clean, dynamic tones and subtle overdrive.
Secret “Third” Channel: When you run the Green side into the Blue side, you unlock a secret channel that adds more gain and fullness while preserving clarity. Perfect for those who want maximum versatility without any muddiness.
Dual Internal Switch (V2): The V2 version includes a dual internal switch for split mode, giving you more control over your signal chain and further tailoring your tone to suit different playing styles.
The Protein V2 offers a blend of classic overdrive tones with modern refinements, making it a must-have for any guitarist looking for versatility and consistent performance across a wide range of musical styles. Whether you're seeking smooth blues overdrive or dynamic rock tones, The Protein V2 delivers with clarity and precision.
