Suhr builds some of the most precisely constructed guitars made in America today, each one assembled by hand at the Santa Paula, California shop to specifications that leave almost nothing to variation. The Classic T is their Telecaster platform, and this Limited Edition run takes it somewhere historically interesting: roasted pine, a material that traces back to the earliest Broadcaster and Telecaster prototypes before ash became the standard.
Roasted pine is light, resonant, and open. The heat treatment drives out moisture and simulates decades of natural aging, leaving a body that vibrates freely and projects clearly. Maple adds brightness and definition in the upper register. Together they lean toward clarity and articulation without the weight of heavier traditional body woods.
Suhr's Vintage T pickups are voiced for authentic Telecaster character. The bridge delivers clear attack and the classic snap the platform is built on, capable across country, blues, and rock. The neck position is warm and full. The SSCII system runs underneath both, canceling 60-cycle hum without touching the single-coil character.
