This Suhr Mateus Asato Classic S in Black Gloss captures the refined feel, versatility, and precision the world associates with Mateus’ signature tone. Built on the Classic S platform, it features an alder body, Even C Medium roasted maple neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard with a 9"–12" compound radius for smooth playability across the board. The V63+ single coils deliver articulate, vintage-leaning clarity, while the Asatobucker bridge humbucker adds punch and warmth for modern lead or rhythm work.
A 2-post tremolo, Suhr’s Silent Single Coil System II (hum-free operation with no battery), heavy stainless-steel frets, and Suhr locking tuners round out a professional, tour-ready feature set. This model also includes the Mateus Asato engraved neck plate and signature on the back of the headstock. Comes complete with the premium Suhr Travel Pro soft shell case.
