The PRS McCarty in Antique White with a natural back is one of the most classic models in the PRS lineup, built as a tribute to Ted McCarty and the golden era of electric guitar design. This example pairs a maple top with a slightly thicker mahogany back for added warmth, sustain, and midrange presence. The Antique White finish keeps it clean and timeless, while the natural back shows off the wood underneath. A high gloss nitro finish, bound rosewood fretboard with faux bone binding, bird inlays, and nickel hardware complete the look.
The Pattern neck carve has a fuller, comfortable feel that suits players who like a bit more substance in hand. The PRS stoptail bridge with brass inserts and Phase III non locking tuners were chosen for strong tuning stability and added resonance.
Loaded with McCarty III pickups, this model delivers warm vintage style humbucker tones with excellent clarity and note separation. The push pull tone control and 3 way toggle add extra range when needed, making it equally at home for clean sounds, edge of breakup tones, or driven amps. The McCarty remains one of the best choices for players who want a straightforward PRS with premium feel and serious tone.
