The Novo Serus J Custom in Charcoal Frost is offset perfection — vintage vibe, modern feel, and serious personality.
Charcoal Frost paired with the 4-ply Light T. Shell pickguard gives this build a moody, sophisticated presence. The Light distress keeps it refined and broken-in without overdoing it — just enough character to feel like it’s already lived a few great stories.
The tempered pine body is lightweight, resonant, and alive. Notes bloom and chords ring with a woody, open character. The figured tempered maple neck and fingerboard add snap, clarity, and a fast, articulate response, while the subtle figuring catches light beautifully. The Medium C (.830") carve feels comfortable and substantial in hand — the perfect balance of vintage feel and modern control.
With a 9.5"-14" compound radius, Jescar 47095 medium frets (.095 x .047), and a 25.5" scale, it plays clean, precise, and effortlessly smooth up and down the neck.
Loaded with Fralin Modern PAFs (pair), this Serus J leans into a thicker, fuller voice. Expect punchy lows, clear highs, and rich harmonic depth — articulate cleans, dynamic breakup, and bold, singing sustain when pushed.
Finished with a Mastery M1 bridge and NV vibrato with Lightning Bolt arm, tuning stability and feel are exceptional. Black witch hat knobs and a black toggle tip complete the aesthetic.
