Novo Guitars Serus J Custom | Coke Bottle Green Sparkle
Novo Guitars Serus J Custom | Coke Bottle Green Sparkle

This Novo Serus J Custom is one of those guitars where the finish completely steals the show. Coke Bottle Green Sparkle is absolutely killer in person, with an incredibly dense metallic flake that shifts from soft silvery green to a much deeper green depending on the light. Novo carried it across the entire tempered pine body and onto the matching headstock, and against the black pickguard and metal hardware, the whole guitar just works.
The Extra Light distressing is the perfect choice here. Rather than heavily aging such a spectacular finish, Novo has given it just enough wear to add character while leaving that incredible sparkle front and center. It's unmistakably Novo: retro, beautifully aged and completely its own thing.
Underneath the finish is everything that makes the Serus J such a great guitar. A tempered pine body and tempered maple neck are paired with a rosewood fingerboard, comfortable Medium C profile and compound 9.5"-14" radius. A pair of Lollar P-90s gives it the raw, articulate character this style of guitar deserves, while the Mastery M1 bridge and NV Vibrato with Lightning Bolt arm make the hardware package every bit as serious as the rest of the build.
This is Novo doing what Novo does best.
