Mayones Aquila Elite S 6 | Liquid Red Gloss (Pre-Owned)

The Mayones Aquila Elite S 6 takes the classic Super Strat formula and pushes it firmly into modern boutique territory. You can see the traditional inspiration in the double cutaway silhouette, bolt on construction and Gotoh 510 tremolo, but everything has been refined with the kind of materials and precision Mayones is known for. A Swamp Ash body is paired with a seriously gorgeous 4A Quilted Maple top, finished in Liquid Red Gloss with natural scrape off binding that lets the maple show around the perimeter. The figuring on this particular top is exceptional, with a ton of movement and depth under the red finish, while the Trans Natural Matt back leaves the grain of the Swamp Ash completely exposed.

The Wenge neck is reinforced with dual graphite rods and paired with an Ebony fingerboard, 12" radius and Ferd Wagner stainless steel frets for a fast, precise playing platform. Abalone dot inlays keep the look clean while adding just enough detail, and the matching Liquid Red quilted maple headstock ties the entire build together beautifully.

A pair of chrome covered Lollar Imperial Low humbuckers gives this Aquila a more open, articulate take on the dual humbucker Super Strat concept, with a 5 way Electroswitch and Mayones treble bleed circuit adding plenty of usable versatility. Gotoh 510 locking tuners, a Graph Tech TUSQ nut, and Gotoh 510 Vintage tremolo with brass saddles round out an extremely high end hardware package.
