The Gretsch G6128T 59 Vintage Select Duo Jet takes its inspiration directly from the late 1950s era that made the Jet one of Gretsch's most iconic designs. Finished in classic Black with aged white binding and pickguard, it has that unmistakable period look, right down to the ebony fingerboard with Neo Classic thumbnail inlays and the oversized Bigsby out front.
The construction is equally faithful to what makes a great Jet different from a traditional solidbody. A chambered mahogany body is paired with an arched laminated maple top, giving the guitar a lively, resonant character while keeping the familiar compact single cut feel. A pair of TV Jones Classic pickups delivers the clarity and articulation associated with vintage Filter'Trons, with individual pickup volumes, master volume and the traditional three position tone switch.
A Space Control bridge, Bigsby B3CB and Grover Sta Tite tuners complete the vintage inspired hardware package. Built in Japan and exceptionally well executed, the Vintage Select series is Gretsch's way of capturing a very specific period of its history while giving you an instrument you can actually take out and play every day.
