The American Professional Series marked one of the biggest updates to Fender's USA lineup in years. Rather than reinventing the Strat, Fender focused on refining it. The neck feels incredible thanks to the Modern Deep "C" profile, the Narrow Tall frets make bends effortless, and thoughtful touches like locking tuners and the two-point tremolo simply make the guitar a pleasure to live with.
I think the HSS configuration is where this model really shines. You still get the unmistakable Strat character from the V-Mod single coils, but the Shawbucker 1 gives the bridge position a welcome dose of extra power and warmth when you need it. It's an incredibly versatile setup that covers everything from clean, glassy rhythms to classic rock and modern gain without ever feeling like it's trying to do too much. Finished in Black with a maple fingerboard, it's a timeless combination that looks just as good today as it did decades ago.
