The Dunable Yeti USA Custom Shop in Purple Burst is a build that immediately grabs you on looks alone. The burl maple top has a ton of natural movement, and the purple burst pushes that even further, with deep, saturated color around the edges that fades into the figuring of the top. Paired with gold hardware, radiator-covered Grizzly pickups, a pale moon ebony board, and purple block inlays, it has a bold, high-contrast look that feels modern but is still rooted in that boutique, hand-built vibe. The flame maple neck adds another layer visually, tying into the top with contrast on an overlooked part of a guitar for special woods. The pickups tie it all together, with a matching purple finish showing under gold pickup rings and screws that echo the hardware without feeling overdone.
Tonally, it’s every bit as aggressive and articulate as it looks. The mahogany body keeps things full and grounded, while the maple neck adds snap. The Grizzly pickups bring a thick, punchy tone with a lot of clarity on top, ensuring note definition under any level of gain. With the coil split, you can pull the tones back into something more open shimmery.
